Election 2010 vs. The Kingdom of God 11-04-10

I was glad, as many others were also, to see a change in the political situation in the recent election. However, as a believer in Jesus Christ and as and heir of the Kingdom of God, I realize that the will of God will never be inaugurated by carnal, human politics. That is, the political systems of man will never usher in the Kingdom of God.

Do not be deceived. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. Neither will sinful people of whatever political persuasion ever “vote in” the glory of God. The plan of God and the purposes of God must be accomplished by the power of the sovereign will of God and those of anointed people.

There have been many quasi-religious/political movements with utopian dreams that have aimed at a man-made paradise on earth. All of them have failed and will fail. Why? God has ordained all the creation to be brought together under the Lordship of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:10).

Bible prophecy will be fulfilled. The Mark of the Beast is coming. The Anti-christ is waiting in the shadows to emerge. All the while many other pieces on the chest board of God are being moved into place.

There we must remember that for Glory of God to cover the earth as waters cover the sea, we are going to need more than the right bumper sticker on our car. We are going to have God do things in alignment with the will of God in all things. Salvation is of the Lord (Ps. 3).
